Prof. James K. Chipman, Ph.D., FIBiol. FRCPath. Professor of cell Toxicology, Theme Leader- Molecular Pathobiology, School of Biosciences, The University of Birmingham, Edgbaston, Birmingham, UK. Molecular biomarkers of genotoxicity and stress responses, use of toxicogenomics in environmental risk assessment. References: over 180 refereed papers. Current grants: NERC (2005-2008) Aquatic toxicogenomics- Postgenomic and Proteomic Research; NERC 2005-2007 Knowledge Transfer Molecular Biology to Risk assessment; BBSRC-JREI. Industrial funding of Molecular Toxicology His research team is currently of 12 postgraduate or postdoctoral researchers. James is a director of the International Union of Toxicology.
