Objectives

To prepare a plan for using and dissemination knowledge during the lifetime of the project and afterwards. To develop, launch and maintain the LECOTOX web portal as an internet accessible information system that forms communication, discussion, and dissemination platform on the LECOTOX issues for the network members as well as for all professionals and general public. To prepare dissemination material needed for the successful realization of the SSA. To prepare a leaflet about the LECOTOX and SSA in order to inform, mainly general public, about the capacities of our laboratories and researchers, their involvement in national, regional and international projects. To run PR activities at National Fair of Higher Education and Career Days, and to organize popular lectures concerning trends in ecotoxicology and ecotoxicogenomics at student’s scientific societies.

Description of work

The LECOTOX web portal is central element of this SSA dissemination strategy, and should provide information not only for experts, but also to the part of the general public. The task include: definition of the concept and design of the web portal; substantive (professional) and linguistic editing of the documents issued in process of the SSA performance and implementation on the LECOTOX web portal all relevant information as an on-line, searchable set of electronic documents and links to similar web-sites.

Second group of tasks is related to preparation and publishing leaflet and pamphlet about LECOTOX and SSA, and PR activities at local TV station, fairs and popular lectures in schools and student’s scientific society.

Plan for using and dissemination knowledge will be prepared through wide discussion with experts from partner institutions.

Expected result:

An appearance of the efficient IT based tool for professional and relevant information exchange. It also opens results obtained by the LECOTOX and know-how acquired to young scientists and professionals, but also general public through web portal and the leaflet, thus rising public awareness and confidence in national research institutions. The portal will also give access to EU researchers to unique information resources on WBC environment. All of the expected results of the SSA will be a significant improvement of the information flow among researchers in the field of environmental analysis and ecotoxicology, general public and stakeholders.
